1. Measure your face
Measure forehead. Measure your forehead with a tape measure. Measure from the peak of one brow arch to the vault of the opposite brow, and note that number down.

Measure your cheekbones. Using a tape measure, measure the distance on your upper cheek. Begin and end at the bulge below the outer corner of each eye, and write that number down.

Measure your chin. Using a tape measure, measure from the bottom of the chin to the bottom of the ear. Stop where your chin is up. Multiply that number by two and write that number down.

Measure the length of your face. Using a tape measure, measure from the center of your forehead (at your hairline) to the bottom of your chin. Write that number down.

2. Judge your face shape
"Oval Face". The length of an oval face is about 1.5 times the width of your face. The forehead is a little larger than the chin, and the angle of the chin is a little more rounded. An oval face looks like an egg.

"Round face". The width and length of a round face are the same. A round face has a round chin, full cheeks and a round hairline. It makes you look younger than other shapes.

"Octangular face". A rectangular face will be much wider than its forehead. The forehead, cheekbones, and jaw will be similar in size for a rectangular face. Rectangular faces may have high foreheads.

"Heart-shaped face". This face shape is very common. On a heart-shaped face, the chin is the narrowest part. A heart-shaped face has a broad forehead, wide cheekbones, and a pointed chin.

"Square face". The length of a square face is almost equal to its width. The distance from forehead to chin is about the same as from cheek to cheek.

"Triangle face". A triangular face is characterized by a large chin, slightly smaller cheekbones and a small forehead. Triangular faces can be of any length. Triangular faces are also called pear-shaped faces.

3. Choose a suitable hat
"Oval face" select the hat. This is the face shape so feel free to try out a variety of hats and bring something that suits your mood, as long as the hat coordinates with your outfit. A woman with an oval face can wear any hat.

"Round face" choose hat. Add something asymmetrical to your look like a fedora, newsboy cap or baseball cap. This symmetrical face needs a new angle, which is asymmetry. It is wise to choose a hat with a high crown and straight brim to give your face more angles and thereby distract attention from the curves of your face.

"Octangular face" select the hat. Try wearing a low hat like a sun hat or a fedora with a wide brim. Because the large frame of the sun hat can offset the length of the long face. Avoid hats with high crowns, as hats will only elongate your face, while hats that drop to the brow can hide your high forehead and give the impression of a shortened face.

"Heart-shaped faces" choose hats. A medium-rimmed hat such as a fedora with a medium brim, boater hat, beanie, or beret can be worn. These hats balance out the width of your forehead. Tilting your hat to one side will slim your face and draw attention. Avoid hats with wide brims, as wide brims will only accentuate your forehead and narrow your chin.

"Square face" choose a hat. Symmetrical faces need rounded features to soften the edges of the face, and domes and edges will do the trick, smoothing out a boxy face and inducing the illusion of height and roundness, so opt for a sun top with sunglasses Pair a cap or cowboy hat with a flowy maxi dress for a feminine touch. Skip hats with short brims or no brim, or square hats, both of which will accentuate your angular face.

"Triangle face" choose hat. A triangular face is like an oval face shape, and the options for this shape are actually plentiful when it comes to hats. Just make sure your hat brings balance to your shoulders. Don't choose a hat with a crown that is narrower than the cheekbones.
